The latest travel announcement by the UK Government makes coming to the UK this summer as easy as it was before the pandemic. The below rules apply for all travellers arriving in the UK (both England and Scotland), regardless of age, vaccination status, or country of origin.
We strongly encourage any students who are eligible to get the vaccine when it is offered to them, but it is not mandatory for attending our UK campuses at St Andrews and Cambridge.
As always, please check the UK Government website regularly in the lead-up to summer, as the rules can change. We will update this page regularly, but it is your responsibility to make sure you have all the necessary documentation prior to travelling to our summer programme. Please also check the rules in your home country for the requirements that you will need for returning home from the UK after the summer programme. It is your responsibility to book and pay for any testing measures that will be needed.
We will have a range of Covid safety procedures ready to implement at our campuses, in line with Government guidelines and as needed at the time.
ALL students attending ISSOS at Yale will need to be fully vaccinated, regardless of the rules for entering the USA (which currently differ from Yale's own policy). For information on what is defined as fully vaccinated by Yale University, please contact us and we will share their Covid 19 policy document with you.
As always, please check the USA Government website regularly in the lead-up to summer, as the rules can change. We will update this page regularly, but it is your responsibility to make sure you have all the necessary documentation prior to travelling to our summer programme. Please also check the rules in your home country for the requirements that you will need for returning home from the USA after the summer programme. The heart and soul of ISSOS, and the thing that so many people love about our programmes, is in bringing people together from every corner of the world and welcoming them into one big, international family.
Safety has always been our number one priority, and we now have more of a responsibility than ever to keep our ISSOS family safe.
With nearly 17 years of operating summer schools behind us, our standard safety procedures are second to none, and we have now adapted these to include a range of Covid-specific procedures that we are ready to implement as needed this summer. We ran safely in 2022 and our range of Covid safety measures were successfully implemented when needed.
Regulations in the UK and USA are now returning to a degree of normality, but even if things change and more measures are needed again, you can be confident that we will do everything that we can to continue to ensure the safety of everyone within the ISSOS family.
We hope this information is useful, but if you have any questions that you would like to ask us before you apply, please do not hesitate to contact us.
