Pre-IB summer school program

The International Baccalaureate is a challenging and demanding program and whether you are feeling left behind - or simply want to get ahead – this course will give you the skills and experience to feel prepared, confident and ready to achieve your personal best.

We recognise that the IB Program is one of the most challenging available to young people today and, in view of this, our Pre-IB summer program is designed to prepare students for the rigorous demands of their final school years. Focusing on improving their work habits and general academic performance, students develop a range of academic skills such as critical thinking, writing, and internet research, all of which are indispensable for success in IB.

Pre-IB

what will it cover?

Students will take part in a number of seminars covering topics essential to academic success including:

  • Time management and organisation
  • Essay writing for IB
  • Presentation skills
  • Research skills
  • Goal setting
  • Planning and orginisation

ISSOS have developed a bespoke program over a number of years to make sure it addresses the needs of IB students to ensure that it covers and teachers the skills needed to make the trasition in to the IB Diploma easier. We also work with student to manage exam and academic stress and offer coping techniques, in addition we offer a university admissions workshop to students thinking about their future.

Our aim is to improve our students’ overall approach to studying, as well as to prepare the students for their final years of high school.
