A Safe and Supportive Summer School Environment
At ISSOS, safety isn’t just a priority—it’s one of our six core values and the foundation of everything we do.
At ISSOS, safety isn’t just a priority—it’s one of our six core values and the foundation of everything we do.
We know that when young people feel safe, supported, and looked after, they’re more open to new experiences. They feel confident stepping outside of their comfort zone, making new friends, and making the most of their time with us. That’s why creating a safe and supervised summer school environment is at the heart of everything we offer.
All of our programmes take place on secure, fully residential campuses in St Andrews, Cambridge, and Yale, where students aged 13–18 live and learn together. This setup allows us to provide round-the-clock supervision and support in a setting that encourages independence, within clear boundaries.
Our team of experienced counselors and staff are on-site 24/7. From day one, they help students settle in and feel at ease—whether it’s through structured routines, fun activities or simply being available for a chat. There’s always someone to turn to, which helps create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
The ISSOS staff team is carefully selected for their experience, professionalism and genuine enthusiasm for working with young people. Many of our counselors return year after year and take real pride in helping students feel welcome and supported.
We also have clear guidelines and procedures in place to ensure student wellbeing and safety at all times. This includes everything from staff training and curfews, to campus security and communication with parents.
For families, this means peace of mind. For students, it means knowing they’re in a place where they can feel comfortable, be themselves, and fully enjoy their summer.
We believe that a strong sense of safety and structure gives students the confidence to take part in everything ISSOS has to offer—from academics and creative classes to outdoor adventures and cultural trips.
When young people feel secure and supported, they can focus on building friendships, learning new skills, and creating unforgettable memories.
At ISSOS, that’s what we’re here to provide: a summer experience where students are safe, supported and free to enjoy every moment.
