Business & Entrepreneurship Summer School Classes
Explore the world of business and discover how great ideas can create real change. Our Business & Entrepreneurship summer programme introduces students to the exciting world of business while encouraging creativity, innovation, and purpose-driven thinking.
Students will learn what it takes to turn an idea into a business, developing practical skills in business planning, marketing and finance. They’ll explore how to shape and communicate their ideas effectively, while building their confidence in presenting and pitching. Through hands-on activities, students will develop their own business concept and learn how to create a compelling pitch that clearly communicates their vision. Whether you’re interested in launching a start-up, creating a social enterprise, or simply discovering how businesses work, this course will give you practical knowledge and valuable skills you can use in the real world.
Academic classes run for 3 hours every weekday morning and are paired with an elective class choice, allowing students to explore different interests and develop a well-rounded academic profile.

What Students Will Learn
Through a series of interactive workshops, practical tasks and case studies students will learn about some of the most valued businesses in the world and understand what makes them work so well.
This course goes beyond the traditional idea of business, inspiring students to think creatively and with purpose. We explore how businesses can make a positive impact on society through social enterprise, values-led leadership, and responsible entrepreneurship.
Students will learn the essentials of business planning, and explore the importance of company culture, branding, and customer service, as well as key concepts in marketing and market research.
Innovation is at the heart of this programme, with sessions on idea generation, original thinking, and methods to encourage fresh approaches to business.
From the start, students will work in small groups to develop their own business idea, which they will refine throughout the course. They’ll explore how to turn their initial concept into a clear business plan, while considering key areas such as marketing and finance. Along the way, students will develop their communication and public speaking skills, learning how to structure, deliver and adapt a persuasive business pitch. Working as a team, they’ll have opportunities to practise pitching their ideas, receive feedback and build confidence presenting to others.
This class is perfect for aspiring entrepreneurs and anyone who is curious about how business works.
*Before arrival, any students with English as a second language will be asked to complete a British Council English Language Test. We do this to make sure that everyone is in a suitable class and will get the most out of their time at ISSOS.
