Cultural Trips at ISSOS
At ISSOS, we want our students to return home after the summer with lifelong memories of time spent with friends from all over the world.
That’s why, alongside our academic and elective programmes, we offer an exciting variety of cultural trips that allow students to explore inspiring cities, discover local history, and strengthen bonds with new friends.
Every trip is carefully planned and supervised by our experienced summer school staff, ensuring that students enjoy their freedom in a safe and supportive environment.
These trips are designed to complement the classroom experience, giving students a rich and balanced summer school experience they’ll never forget.
Trip Highlights
Full day trips to world-renowned cities like Edinburgh, Oxford and New York
Visits to iconic landmarks including Windsor Castle, Times Square and Edinburgh Castle

What Are Cultural Trips?
Cultural trips at ISSOS are a vital part of the student experience, helping us create the perfect balance of education, adventure, and fun.
Each campus offers its own highlights. Whether it's paddleboarding on a scenic river or wandering through the grounds of a historic castle, students will find something to spark their curiosity and excitement.
Saturday Full-Day Trips
On Saturdays, students go on full-day trips to some of the world’s most famous and inspiring cities. From historic castles and royal landmarks to vibrant and modern city centres, our trips include activities like guided walking tours, museum visits, shopping time, and the chance to experience local culture.
Wednesday Half-Day Trips
On Wednesday afternoons, students take a break from their class schedule and choose (in advance) from a variety of half-day trips that cater to a wide range of interests. From high-energy outdoor activities to enriching historical and cultural experiences.
End of Session
To end the session, everyone takes part in a fun bowling trip, rounding off the summer with laughter and celebration. It’s the perfect opportunity for students and staff to reflect on their time together.
