Experience Life at the University of St Andrews
ISSOS at St Andrews is based in the extensive and beautiful campus of The University of St Andrews, Scotland's oldest and top university.
Founded in 1413 the elegant, ivy-covered buildings, beautiful quadrangles and gardens of the University of St Andrews have seen many famous graduates, including John Knox, John Napier and, more recently, the Prince and Princess of Wales.
With stunning architecture, oak-panelled common rooms and world class research libraries, the University frequently features at the very top of the UK University Rankings.
Exceptional Facilities and a Unique Setting
The university classrooms we use are just a short walk from the halls of residence, and all evening programmes are within easy walking distance too, creating a safe and convenient campus experience.
We are also fortunate to have access to a range of additional university facilities throughout the programme. This includes a purpose-built sports facility used for some of our evening events, the research library for our Study Skills summer school students, and the student union with its versatile events spaces.
Beyond the St Andrews university campus itself, the surrounding area offers a wealth of opportunities for our students. The courtyards and gardens around our accommodation in St Andrews are ideal for relaxing with new friends or for teachers to take their classrooms outside. The stunning beaches are also a key part of our Evening Programmes and Activities.
To make the most of our coastal location, we partner with experienced St Andrews-based adventure sports company, Blown Away, for beach watersports, and visit Wild Shore Water Park in Dundee for even more fun on the water.
