Teachers

Elena has strong knowledge of the IB Diploma and has taught our IB Extended Essay programme for three years.

Her teaching experience is vast, having taught English Language, Literature, and Culture in Italy, as well as tutoring Latin and Italian.

Elena has also lectured and tutored at levels ranging from high school to undergraduate honours students at the University of St Andrews and Durham University.

She holds a BA in Foreign Languages and Literature, an MLitt in Shakespeare and Renaissance Literary Culture, and has also recently completed her PhD.

As one of our IB Extended Essay teachers, Sarah has an extensive background in teaching in the UK, USA and Japan. She holds a Master’s degree in Greek and Latin Languages and Literatures from the University of Oxford.

While teaching at Ibaraki Christian University in Japan, Sarah helped students prepare for TEFL and IELTS exams, and has broad experience in the UK as a Graduate Resident Tutor where she supports high school students in Classics and Modern Foreign Languages.

Sarah’s experience, both in teaching and in successfully completing a Master’s degree at Oxford University, make her a huge asset to ISSOS students and our teaching team.
