Meet Madineyah, Youth Leadership Teacher
Date: April 5, 2016
At ISSOS, we endeavor to hire the best, most experienced staff possible. Every year, our students are inspired and encouraged by the teachers and councilors who dedicate their summer to helping them realise and achieve their potential.
Meet Madineyah Isaacs, who will be teaching our very popular, Youth Leadership class at Yale this summer. One of the things we love about our staff, is that many of them come from very interesting and diverse backgrounds. Madineyah is no different, a former radio DJ turned Transformational Life Coach and facilitator, Madineyah loves people and life.
Madineyah was born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa and now calls the bustling city of New York City, her home.
Looking ahead to this summer, Madineyah says “I am thrilled to be part of ISSOS at Yale, it's a gorgeous campus and the perfect setting to learn and have fun”.
So what can students who are taking Youth Leadership expect from her classes? Well, there will be a mixture of facilitated sessions, practical team tasks and dedicated reflection time. Topics that will be covered will include developing awareness, communication skills and the power of dialogue and decision-making.
“I am hear to learn alongside everyone, and create a supportive environment. Also expect a lot of laughing, I love laughing!”
A few places remain in the Youth Leadership class at Yale, you can secure one of these by applying online.
