Session 2 finished yesterday and it goes without saying that there were a few tears shed. This year we have enjoyed welcoming returners, meeting new students, younger siblings and friends of friends. It has also been a pleasure meeting friends and family at all 3 parents receptions. We now wish our Session 2 families a safe journey home...and of course look forward to seeing all of you again for ISSOS 2014. From all of the ISSOS team, thank you for making this summer a fantastic experience for us all.

5 Aug 2013Dragons Dens and Swimming in the North Sea New ISSOS photos have been uploaded on to the ISSOS Facebook page for your enjoyment.
In St Andrews, students enjoyed the annual Sand Castle Building Competition, a competitive but fun clan event that was enjoyed by all. Some students were even brave enough to go swimming in the North Sea. Students and staff are looking forward to the Talent Show that will be held tonight.
In Cambridge, students have been enjoying their final week. Group activities have included Scottish country dancing and roller-skating. We were also thoroughly impressed with the final night debate and dragons den presentations. Well done to all involved. We now look forward to meeting friends and family at the Parents Reception tomorrow that will take place from 4pm to 6pm in Queens College.
2 Aug 2013New Photos for ISSOS 2013 We have uploaded some new pictures on to our ISSOS FACEBOOK page for your enjoyment.
The St Andrews photos include the Guest Speakers Debate which was held last night, and the counsellor fashion show. Both events were lots of fun and a great success.
The Cambridge photos include Wednesday trips and the ISSOS talent show – well done to everyone who got involved! We never cease to be amazed at just how talented ISSOS students are.
This weekend all ISSOS students are looking forward to attending their cultural trips and Sunday workshops.
29 Jul 2013Punting on the River Cam New photos of ISSOS Cambridge have been uploaded on to the ISSOS Facebook page. Pictures include academic and elective classes, weekend workshops and the Friday night disco. As ISSOS students are residing in Queens College, based right on the River Cam, we have also included some photos of the students “punting” on the River Cam.
"A punt is a flat-bottomed boat with a square-cut bow, designed for use in small rivers or other shallow water. Punts were originally built as cargo boats or platforms for fowling and angling, but in modern times their use is almost exclusively confined to pleasure trips." Lord Byron and Geoffery Chaucer have both written about the River Cam.
22 Jul 2013ISSOS Cambridge Trip to Windsor Weekend trips - This weekend the students visited Windsor Castle. Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world and is the Official Residence of Her Majesty The Queen. Its rich history spans almost 1000 years.
Please have a look at the ISSOS facebook page to view new photos of the students participating in Clan Calling as well as the weekend trip to Windsor
