In addition to our cultural trips and evening programmes, students at ISSOS are offered the opportunity to take part in a range of optional activities designed to help them relax, have fun and learn new skills.
As well as our evening programmes and cultural day trips all of our students are offered the option of taking part in afternoon activities (4pms) and Sunday Workshops.
We know that our students work hard during the week, so 4pms are optional, but they will all be based on activities that our students show an interest in and they can request anything that they would like us to run.
Because these activities are tailored to the students on campus each year they will vary from session to session, but they will cover everything from sport and games to creativity. They also frequently feature activities based on some of our academic and elective subjects, so students can try something outside of their own subject choices. With such a varied selection of activities on offer, we are confident that all of our students will enjoy this aspect of the ISSOS experience.
In the past, 4pms have included activities like:
- Circus skills
- Mobile phone photography
- Cake baking
- Postcard writing
- Touch Rugby
- Card games
- Punting on the River Cam
Sundays are a little different at ISSOS and give our students a chance to relax after a busy week of classes and activities. Students can have a longer sleep, spend time relaxing with friends or use the time to speak to their families at home.
Sunday afternoons are dedicated to 3 hour-long Workshops that, like our 4pms, are optional and cover everything from sport to creativity and are built around things that our students show interest in or request. There is a Workshop to suit everyone and students can enjoy the opportunity to engage in something new or take part in a hobby they enjoy.
Sunday Workshops have included
- University Admissions
- World Soccer
- Introduction to Film, Photography or one of our other electives.
- Spray Painting
- Costal walk/Hike
